He has presented recently to the 2002 National Convention of the National Association of Teachers of Singing in San Diego, at the Crane School of Music at the State University of New York at Potsdam, and for the 2003 Northwestern Regional Conference of the National Association of Teachers of Singing in Seattle, and he will be giving Body Mapping presentations this year to the National Conference of the College Music Society, St. Mary's College, at California State University-Fullerton and to the 2010 National Convention of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
3D DIAPHRAGM ANIMATION
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hp-gCvW8PRY
This is an animation that shows how the diaphragm works and its relation to the bony structures to which it connects. Pay particular attention to the movements of the ribs that go along with the movement of the diaphragm and which, in part, make its full excursion possible. Be aware that there are many body structures which are not shown in this animation (including the muscles that move the ribs!), but this resources should help you map your diaphragm more accurately. (I could wish that the animation mentioned the joints that connect ribs to vertebrae, however.)
J.S. BACH TRANSLATIONS by Z. PHILIP AMBROSE
http://www.uvm.edu/~classics/faculty/bach/
An archive of English translations of all of J.S. Bach's many vocal works. They are not literally word-by-word, but you should find them helpful in conjunction with your dictionary work. You may use them for programs, provided they are properly credited (see the attribution instructions at this site).
SOCIETY FOR AMERICAN ART SONG
http://www.americanartsong.org/default.htm
A source for much information about American composers of art song. Dates of composers, lists of repertoire, and links to many composers' own websites or to websites maintained by societies devoted to the works of those composers.
