"Love Is a Fallacy" Assignment

	I will read this aloud for you in class Tuesday because there will be some things that may require a little clarification. Furthermore, it's fun.
	You will receive a copy of the short story to take home. (If you do not have your copy, you can Google the title and get one.)
	At home, please read through your copy carefully. Write down any questions you have in the margins. Also, underline or highlight any words or phrases that you have to look up, and write the meanings in the margin or on the back of the page. You do not have to do this for the Latin terms.
	Then read the story again quickly.

Writing assignment due Thursday 5/28:

Write a reaction paper of no more than one page, typed and double-spaced. Before you start writing, think about what it means to REACT. Be sure to establish some criteria for your general points and to refer to specific examples. If you need help with quoting passages, see Hacker, A Writer's Reference, Section P6, pages 282-287.

Bring your copy of the story and your typed, double-spaced reaction paper to Thursday's class.
