Bachelor of Arts, Middle Grades Education

Middle Grades Application Deadline – Extended to June 15th

The mission of the Teacher Education Unit is to prepare professional educators who engage in reflective practice and who are competent, caring, committed, collaborative, culturally responsive, and prepared to teach diverse learners in an ever-changing society.

Students may choose to complete the bachelors programs on a full-time (16-18 semester hours per semester) or a part-time basis.  Full-time program completion requires two full years of required coursework (junior and senior years of the bachelor's degree program).  Part-time completion of the program varies depending upon the coursework taken and will require full-time participation during the senior year.  Please contact a faculty member in the Teacher Education Department for further information.
Clayton State University offers teacher education bachelors degree programs during the weekday only. There are no evening or weekend classes offered as a part of the programs.  The Master of Arts in Teaching programs does offer evening classes.
