Assistant Professor Sherry Richardson

Paralegal Studies 

Sherry Richardson, J.D. - Assistant Professor of Legal Studies/Paralegal Studies. Professor Richardson earned her Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and she holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Nevada. Professor Richardson is a full-time Assistant Professor at Clayton State University. Since 2000, she has taught Legal Issues for Administrators and Managers, Business Organizations, Computers and the Law, Legal Research and Writing, Contracts and Torts, Civil Litigation and Introduction to Law and Ethics at CSU. Prior to joining the faculty at CSU, she was a trial attorney and her areas of concentration were medical malpractice and general litigation. During this time, she successfully argued before the Georgia Court of Appeals. She has also served as an arbitrator for the Atlanta Better Business Bureau and a legal consultant for various corporations. She has extensive experience teaching hybrid and online courses and incorporating advanced technology in education. Her research interests include improving student success and engaging students in alternative delivery format courses.
