Course: Introduction to General Psychology

Course Description:

Psychology 191 is an overview of the broad field of Psychology that includes subfields such as Foundations, Research Design, Statistics,

Biological, Perception, Learning, Consciousness, Emotion, Personality, Human Development, and Psychological Disorders.

Students will complete the following objectives:

Analyze the scientific basis of Psychology and understand the statistical analysis of research data

Compare and contrast the various Sub-fields of Psychology

Recognize the ways in which a Psychological Research and Practice enrich our lives

Understand and apply the major psychological concepts, theories, and constructs

Apply various theoretical frameworks to the understanding of human behavior in every day life, social spheres, and work situations.

 

 

 

HONOR CODE

Students must complete their own work.

No talking or looking on other papers during exams.

Violations will result in a grade of "0" for the exam / project.

Grading System:

All Grades will computed based upon the Clayton State College/University scale.

Course Description:

Psychology 2103 is an overview of Human Development from conception to death including the biosocial, cognitive, and psychsocial domains for each life stage.

Students will complete the following objectives:

Analyze the scientific basis of Psychology and understand the statistical analysis of research data

Compare and contrast the major theories of human development

Recognize the ways in which a human developmental stages play a role in our lives

Understand and apply the major developmental concepts, theories, and constructs

Understand and apply the three domains of human development for each stage of life

Include a Summary paragraph that states your personal

Opinions, thoughts, and conclusions.

The more personal examples you can relate in your report, the more you learn and the higher your score.

Spelling, grammar, and writing style are important and will be part of the objective grade.
