	My research involves studying how people use science while making decisions about various Socioscientific Issues and the effects of evolution understanding and acceptance on functional scientific literacy. I also work with secondary science teachers on how to incorporate Socioscientific Issues as part of their teaching and how to handle controversial topics in the classroom.
