Obtaining departmental approval to enroll in the online versions of BIOL 1111

Criteria for departmental approval

Enrollment in the on-line Introductory Biology sequence requires departmental approval. Approval will be granted to students who meet the following two (2) criteria:

BIOL 1111L the laboratory associated with BIOL 1111 is a corequisite. The laboratory is NOT offered on-line. Select any section of BIOL 1111L offered on campus.

Instructions for students who meet the approval criteria

If you meet these criteria, contact the administrative assistant for the Department of Natural Sciences to have the departmental approval flag removed and to be enrolled in the on-line course(s) you specify. You may may use e-mail or phone to request enrollment:

Instructions for students who do not meet the approval criteria

Students who do not meet the criteria listed above may still enroll in the course, but must sign a waiver statement. A copy of the required waiver statement is available through this link. You may turn in your waiver statement in person, by email or by mail:

Upon receipt of the waiver you will be enrolled in the on-line course you specify.
