Clayton State University offers this upper-division program for individuals seeking a Bachelor of Science in Health & Fitness Management. The Health & Fitness Management program prepares students for a variety of entry and mid-level management positions within the broad field of health and fitness. The curriculum covers a wide scope from the scientific basis of exercise as a tool for health promotion, to the management of health and wellness facilities and personnel. The interdisciplinary nature of this program assists students in building the intellectual and practical framework necessary to become successful in corporate fitness, personal training, health education/promotion, and other areas of health and fitness services. Students wishing to pursue graduate education in the fields of Exercise Science or Business will find this undergraduate degree forms a solid foundation upon which to build.

Requirements for Progression in Upper Division Classes
Students must meet all University admission and academic requirements. Students may be allowed to take selected 3000 level courses (HFMG 3110 & HSCI 3520) upon completion of at least 45 semester credit hours applicable to Areas A-F. In addition students must complete all Area A-F requirements (with no grade lower than a C in Area F) prior to enrollment in any 3000 level Health Sciences, Health & Fitness Management, or business courses other than those listed above.
