Upcoming Faculty Appearances and Activities

Dr. Kitty Deering

• Will be doing a panel discussion with another psychologist and veterans from the Iraq and Vietnam wars following the airing of the documentary, “Posttraumatic Stress Disorder: Invisible Wounds of War” (a documentary in which she appears). The event will be held in the auditorium of the Central Headquarters of the Atlanta-Fulton County Public Library in Margaret Mitchell Square on November 18, 2009 from 6:00PM-9:30 PM.

Dr. Donna McCarty (Department Chair)

• Has been appointed chair of the committee to write the University’s Interim Report for SACS Reaffirmation
• Has been invited to serve on a Commission on Colleges Southern Association of Colleges and Universities (SACS) Accreditation Committee November 17 – 19 at a university in Florida
• Will be making a presentation at the Association of Heads of Departments of Psychology meeting in November.
