Clayton State’s expert voice faculty will offer a workshop day for high school vocal soloists to sharpen their skills in preparation for spring musicals or solo/ensemble contests.  The day will feature:

1)     a morning workshop in techniques for music drama/music theatre, and the first four singers or teams to register will have an opportunity to coach their song or scene with Clayton State faculty; others will be alternates or auditors

2)     an afternoon master class for singers preparing classical songs for solo/ensemble contests, voice competitions, or college admission auditions.  The first eight singers to register will be guaranteed an opportunity to be coached in the public master class; others will be alternates or auditors

Both sessions will include tips on voice care and effective audition techniques, a mini-workshop on survival piano skills for singers with limited piano background, and lunch, with entertainment provided by Clayton State vocal majors.
