ABOUT US

Linking American History: Past to the Present was a  project among three metro-Atlanta public school systems-- Henry County, Cobb County, and Fayette County-- in partnership with various state and federal agencies. From 2004 to 2006, over  72 classroom teachers  participated in activities designed to enhance  content knowledge  and instructional strategies for effectively utilizing historical documents in teaching American history from 1945 to the present.

This webpage chronicles some of the teachers' collective experiences over these three years, as well as contains web resources, videos,  photos and lesson plans which may be used by other K-12 educators to teach their classes.
