The Atomic = Orbitals
1. Objectives. The objective of= this laboratory is to visualize the atomic orbitals = by using an Orbital Viewer<= /a> program.
2. Theory.
Atomic orbitals are
the electron probability functions computed from the Schrödinger’=
;s
equation. The Orbital Viewer program can display the o=
rbitals
either as a probability density (“probability cloud”) or as a
surface of constant probability.

1) Your instructor will introduce you to the Orbital Viewer program.
