Dr. Jonathan Lyon is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the Department of Natural Sciences at Clayton State University.

Dr. Lyon's future website is currently being built.  It will replace this website in the near future.  You can view it here.

His academic and research interests include physical and organometallic chemistry. More specifically, he is interested in the reactions of metal atoms and clusters with small molecules. This research has practical applications in catalysis, alternative energy, and the remediation of toxic materials. For more information, please contact Dr. Lyon, or visit his research website here.

Dr. Lyon serves as an advisor for students majoring in chemistry and pre-pharmacy and acts as a co-advisor for the Go Green student organization, which deals with environmental concerns on our campus.
