(Integrative Studies Program)

To initiate an internship, students should contact Bridgette McDonald in the Office of Career Services (678-466-5400 or bridgettemcdonald@clayton.edu) in order to obtain the appropriate paperwork and for additional assistance in locating an appropriate placement site.

Those who have already identified a potential internship position, should notify Bridgette McDonald for preliminary screening to determine that the site and position offer appropriate experiences in the chosen field of study. Final approval comes from the Coordinator of Integrative Studies.

Application Procedure:

1. Obtain two forms from the Office of Career Services: Application for Internship form and the Agreement Form.
2. Contact the Coordinator of Integrative Studies for assistance in registering for INTE 3901. Pay tuition and fees.
3. Complete the Application for Internship Form and the Agreement Form and return them to the Office of Career Services. Be sure that the Agreement Form includes your specific learning objectives and signatures from both your worksite supervisor and your internship faculty advisor.
4. Near the end of the semester you may be asked to help obtain a complete Employer Evaluation Form. The form will be sent directly to your supervisor, but students sometimes need to remind employers to return the form. Information provided will be used in determining your grade.
