Dr. Mary G. Rolinson: "Garveyism in Georgia"
On April 2, 2007, Dr. Mary G. Rolinson, Visiting Lecturer at Georgia State University, presented a program at Clayton State entitled: “The Garvey Movement and the Origins of Black Nationalism in Georgia.” Rolinson's lecture was based on her recently-published Grassroots Garveyism: The Universal Negro Improvement Association in the Rural South, 1920-1927 (University of North Carolina Press).
