Community Service Reflections
Experience without reflection is like a light bulb without electricity. Thinking about what you've experienced, why you feel about it the way you do, and what you might do differently is essential to illumination.

- What was the purpose of your activity?
- What was the most significant event/element in your field experience?
- What were your feelings about the organization, yourself, and the clients/public during the field experience?
- What did you learn on a personal level from the experience?
- How did you grow professionally because of the experience?
- What did you learn from this experience that will affect your future behavior?
- What suggestions or changes would you make if you were in charge of the field experience for other students?
Grading Criteria.
Format. All reflections should be written in clear, complete and grammatically correct sentences.
Depth. At least 250 words of reflection are needed to get beyond the superficial details of the field work and into its impact on you as a person.
Specificity. The focus of your writing should be on what you did and what happened as a result of what you did.
Timeliness. Reflections should be written and submitted within one week of the community service experience.
