Formulas that need to be known for Unit II test:

 

Rectangle:

Area:  A = lw

Perimeter: P = 2l + 2w

 

Triangle:

Area: A = ½ bh

Perimeter: P = a + b + c

Pythagorean Theorem:  a2 + b2 = c2

Sum of all angles in a triangle add up to 180o.

Equilateral triangle means that all three angles are equal and all three sides are equal.

Isosceles triangle means that two of the angles are equal and two of the sides are equal.

 

Angles:

Supplementary angles total 180o.

Complementary angles total 90o.

 

Circle:

Area: A = pr2

Circumference:  C = 2pr = pd
