history. Membership is the organization is encouraged for
any professional historian, college or university educator,

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN THE GEORGIA
ASSOCIATION OF HISTORIANS?
 | GAH provides the opportunity
to associate with other historians and to exchange ideas
pertinent to the profession and to research work. |
 | The annual GAH convention
provides historians with the opportunity to hear the
latest research work in a wide variety of historical
areas. Presentations cover topics in U.S. History, as
well as in Middle Eastern African, Latin American, and
European areas. |
 | Representatives of most
private and public colleges and universities in the
state are members of GAH which provides a wide range of
information about potential teaching positions. |
 | Membership also includes
public historians, archivists, writers, and others
interested in serious historical study. |
 | The annual GAH convention,
sponsored by a different college or university each
year, presents a reception and tours centered around
local history of the host site. |
 | GAH membership annual dues are
reasonable as are convention fees. |
 | Most members renew at the time
of the annual meeting, using the advance registration
form for that event. If you missed that opportunity and
want to renew for the present year,
