The Brochure Project Grading Plan
The project grade given to the team as a whole, is broken
down into four categories (visual appeal, content, grammar/selling,
organization). Each individual will also be evaluated by his/her group
members on teamwork and cooperation.
Visual appeal of brochure and creativity (15% of
grade)
- Graphics are used that illustrate a point effectively
and do not distract the reader.
- The text is legible.
- The brochure looks professional and is not gaudy.
Content (40% of grade)
- The information about the topic is accurate.
- The information about the topic is appropriate to the
purpose of the assignment.
- The information about the topic is complete (for the
purpose of the assignment).
Grammar/Spelling (10% of grade)
- Words are spelled accurately.
- Proper rules of grammar are utilized.
Organization and Effectiveness of the Message (20% of
grade)
- It is written so the general public can understand it
(6th grade level)
- The layout is set up so that it flows well.
- It is not confusing.
- The message is delivered effectively to the general
public.
Team Cooperation (15% of grade is assigned separately to
each individual)
- Each group member will fill out one rubric for each
group member (including self). These will be used to give the team
cooperation grade.
