To determine your grade prior to taking the final exam (at any point in the semester after exam 1 is taken).
  1. Save all work that is graded and returned to you and log your grades into a spreadsheet or notebook.
  2. Your exams are worth 20% each and your final is worth 15%.  All 4 exams (including the final) that you will take collectively add up to 75% of your grade.  Your assignments (in-class and take-home) are worth 20% and your quizzes are worth 5%
  3. Add the scores for all of your exams and divide by the total number of exams taken and this is your average exam grade.  Multiply your average exam grade by 0.75 and these are your exam points.
  4. Add all the scores for all of your assignments and divide by the total number of points that you could have obtained from those assignments and then multiply this number by 100 and this is your average assignment grade.  Multiply your average assignment grade by 0.20 and these are your assignment points
  5. Add all the scores for all of your quizzes and divide by the total number of points that you could have obtained from those quizzes and then multiply this number by 100 and this is your average Quiz grade.  Multiply your average quiz grade by 0.05 and these are your quiz points
  6. Add your exam points and your assignment and quiz points and this is your grade in the course so far.
