All of the lab reports must be turned in the same day that the laboratories are performed.  No late reports will be accepted.

All lab reports must be submitted on the forms posted online.  If you do not print the form out prior to coming to class and hand write the questions, I will deduct 10 points from your lab assignment for that day.  This will also be true for the first lab that we perform so make sure that you write down the user name and password on the first meeting of the class.

If you must miss a laboratory, you may NOT make it up in another one of my lab sections or in the section of another instructor.  You may NOT just attend another laboratory.  If you have a doctor’s note for a missed absence, I will count the grade on the next laboratory twice. Oversleeping and car trouble are not considered valid excuses and you will be assigned a grade of zero for that laboratory.

You must attend both laboratory practicals unless you have a dire emergency.  You will be at a great disadvantage if you do not take both practicals.  If you MUST miss one, then you will need to provide a doctor’s note and I will count the next laboratory practical twice.

You will need to complete two homework assignments.  You will need to turn in these assignments the day of the lab practical.  Both homework assignments will be due ON TIME.  For each day that it is late, I will deduct 10 points. No homework assignments will be accepted after 3 days past the due date.

Attendance and timely arrival at lab practicals

You will be required to take two lab practicals.  These are timed tests. I will start promptly at the beginning of the lab period.  If you are late (even 2 minutes), it will be very disruptive to your fellow students.  Therefore, if you arrive after I have begun the test, I will deduct 10 points from your exam (up to 10 minutes late).  If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, I will deduct 20 points from your exam.  If you arrive 20 minutes after I have begun the test, you will not be allowed to take the lab practical and will get a 0 on the exam.

The lab practical only takes 50 minutes to complete and the class goes for longer than this.  However, everyone will be taking the test at the same time and under the same conditions.  If you arrive late at the lab practical, you will only be allowed to finish the test up to 50 minutes following the start of the lab practical NOT 50 minutes after you arrive.
