In this class, you will work in groups of 4 unless instructed to do otherwise.  I would like each group to work together as efficiently as possible.  I have assigned roles to each person to help make the groups work well together.

Each member of the group will be assigned a role.  You will rotate these roles as directed by the instructor.

These are the different roles that you might be assigned:

Manager

This person organizes the group.  He/she should have read the experiment in detail BEFORE class so he/she can organize the group.  The manager will assign the different tasks that need to be done that day.  This person will talk with the group members and determine what supplies are needed that day.  He/she will then get the supplies

Recorder

This person writes down the results or other observations for the day.  If other members of the group are busy doing other things, then the recorder will give them the information later so they can record it in their lab reports.

Questioner

This person asks Dr. Norflus any questions that the group has about the experiment.

Presenter

This person shows Dr. Norflus the lab reports of all of the students in the group before leaving the class.  This person reports back to the group if there are any problems with the lab reports. All group members need to hand in their lab reports at the same time.  You should all be working as a group so everyone should be done roughly around the same time.

All group members will also participate in doing the experiment.  They will do the tasks assigned by the manager.
