(Other than Psychology)
My Family: My husband is a psychologist at the Atlatna VAMC, and my son Fletcher is almost 3 years old. This is a picture of my husband and myself at the annual Georgia Hall Ball a few years ago, and you can see two pictures of Fletcher on the main part of my webpage!
My Dogs: Here are their pictures!
Working Out: (I used to be a very consistent runner, but due to some back and hip problems, I'm now focusing on things like swimming, weight-lifting, yoga, and Pilates. But, still thought you'd be interested in a couple of my running links just in case you've ever pondered becoming a runner yourself.)
www.atlantatrackclub.org: This site tells you about running clubs all over Atlanta (running is usually easier with a group to give you motivation) and about some good running routes that folks have measured all over the city.
www.disneyworldsports.com: O.k., I have done one crazy running thing. I ran the Walt Disney World Marathon in 2000. I finished it! It took me forever, but I finished it, and pretty much ran the whole time. This page has a link to info. on the marathon.
Vegetarian Cooking: (I've been a vegetarian for over seven years now. It really helped me expand the variety of food I eat, and also causes me to eat healthier--no fast food, for the most part.)
www.allrecipes.com: This is a great recipe site for all types of cooking, not just vegetarian. It does have a lot of vegetarian recipes, and I like the fact that the recipes are rated and commented upon by folks who have tried them. It helps you choose the best ones that others have already said are tasty. Looking at the variety of vegetarian recipes here can prove that, no, I don't just eat nuts and twigs!
www.goveg.com: This is a site from PETA; whatever you may think of them and their sometimes crazy antics, this page has a good link to a "Vegetarian Starter Kit" that can get you started if you are new to the world of veggies.
www.vegsoc.org: Lots of great info. One great section is the "New Veggies" link, meaning lots of info. on being a new vegetarian, becoming a vegetarian, nutritional info. for new vegetarians, etc.
Gardening: (Hence the background. I'm somewhat obsessed with gardening, although I am definitely not an expert.)
www.garden.com: A great gardening site where you can get lots of information and order plants and seeds.
