PLEASE CAREFULLY READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS!!
This paper must be at least 7 pages in length, NOT including the title page or reference pages, and done in a commonly used 12-pt. font, like “Times New Roman.” The paper must use APA format for the citations and reference list. If you have never used APA format, I would advise you to check out the APA Publication Manual in the library. You can also find some info. at the following web pages:

YOU MUST USE FOUR SOURCES OTHER THAN YOUR TEXT; those sources CANNOT be web-pages--they must be academic sources (books or articles). You can use a web-page source, but that has to be an additional source. Using another textbook is not a good choice for an additional academic source.
Grading
Your paper will be graded based on the quality of critical thinking, the effectiveness of your argument, and the quality of your written communication.
The paper will be due toward the end of the semester (Nov. 30th), and will involve researching and writing about in more depth a specific topic related to either psychoanalytic or existential theory. We will discuss potential topics as the class progresses, so you will have many possibilities for paper topics. You will need to develop the topic and have it approved by me prior to beginning your research and writing. Topics must be submitted in writing by November 2nd.
