Factors affecting infiltration into a house:

    Cracks around windows, doors and foundation (the tightness of the house measured by the rate at which air is changed).

    Winds.  Higher wind speeds significantly increase heat loss due to infiltration.

    Weather stripping and caulking.  These measures can significantly reduce the heat loss  rate due to infiltration.
