The maximum efficiency of a heat engine is given by:

e = (1 - T_C/T_H) x 100%

where the temperatures, T_C and T_H are measured on the absolute (Kelvin) temperature scale.

For a fixed lower temperature, T_C, a higher temperature for T_H gives a higher maximum possible efficiency.
