Chapter Objectives - Chapter 9: Global Warming, Ozone Depletion and Waste Heat



Lesson notes:

This lesson continues our discussion of energy use effects related to the atmosphere and examines the effects of waste heat generated in the generation of electricity.


Objectives:

1. Be able to list and describe the sources of greenhouse gases and their role in the greenhouse effect.

2. Be able to describe how ozone depletion occurs and its effects.

3. Be able to explain the reason for thermal pollution, its biological effects and possible solutions.
