The following sample course sequence fulfills the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies. Note that only the courses marked with an asterisk (*) are absolute requirements. Other courses represent options within requirements. Be sure to consult the Clayton State University catalog for all the official requirements.

  • PSYC 1101 or SOCI 1101
  • MATH 1101, MATH 1111, or MATH 1231 (based on placement scores and advisor's recommendation)

Spring Semester - Year 1

  • HIST 1111

Note: Taking the Regents' Exam is required in the first semester of enrollment following completion of 30 hours. (The test may be taken before completion of 30 hours.)

Fall Semester - Year 2 (16 credit hours)

  • CMS 2010*

  • ENGL 2111, 2112, 2121, 2130, or PHIL 2201
  • BIOL 1111, plus BIOL 1111 Lab
