Communications

April 8: Corrections on resume are due with a cover letter for a fictional job that you are applying for.  Find an ad describing a job and then craft a cover letter that targets getting that particular job.  Include ad, cover letter and revised resume.

April 1: Resume critique is due.

March 25: Prepare a resume, using guidelines in the Victoria McMillan Book, Writing in the Biological Sciences (p 246 to 249).  We will redistribute your resume to different members of the class and they will write up a critique of your resume.

March 4: Review of journal article due.  This needs to be a review of an primary research article that interests you. First indicate why you chose this journal article and then please identify the hypothesis or hypotheses. Briefly describe the methods and then critique the results and indicate whether they support the hypotheses. Finally, indicate why this paper is important.
