In this week's lab, we did the following exercises in the lab manual:

Ex 17.1-17.5 (you are only responsible for the parts of the exercises that you were told to do on the handout for this lab).

You are required to know ALL bold-faced terms in the sections of the lab exercises that we covered in class (including the introduction).

As part of these exercises you dissected Ascaris and Lumbricus terrestris.  You are required to be able to identify and name a function for the structures listed on your lab handout.

This lab involved looking at slides that were too large for me to get suitable pictures for this page, but you are still required to be able to identify the slides and the appropriate structures.

Model of a hydra.  You should be able to identify the same structures on this model that you were required to know for the slides.
Model of a Planaria.  You should be able to identify the same structures on this model that you were required to know for the slides.
Here's a picture showing the difference between the tails of a female (top) and male Ascaris.
Here's a photo showing the internal structures of a female Ascaris.
This picture shows the internal structures in male and female Ascaris.
This picture shows the internal structures in male and female Ascaris.
Model of an earthworm.  You should be able to identify the same structures on this model that you were required to know for the slides and the dissection.
Here's a picture showing the external earthworm structure.
Here's a picture showing the internal structures of an earthworm.
Here's a picture of the dissected earthworm in the Lucite box (sorry it's so blurry, but this is the best my camera would do...).
