        first person focus  (no "you")

        present tense

        Turnitin submission receipt included with typed copies

        paper folder

        2 to 3 pages (at least 1 sentence on the 3rd page)

At least one significantly edited draft, triple-spaced, included in submission folder

Assignment:

   Write a reflective piece about a time when you were stereotyped by someone or some group or when you stereotyped someone or some group.  Focus on the stereotyping and your response more than simply recounting the narrative sequence. 

   Look at the essay grading rubric as you edit.  All of the elements listed will factor into your final grade.  Think about organization, voice, choice of events, and your focus and development of the experience.
