Welcome to the College of Arts and Sciences at Clayton State University and thank you for visiting our website. The College of Arts and Sciences is by far the largest and most diverse college at Clayton State University. Consisting of seven departments - English, Humanities, Natural Sciences, Psychology, Social Sciences, Teacher Education, and Visual & Performing Arts - and the Office of Interdisciplinary Studies, the College of Arts and Sciences offers a wide array of opportunities for students with diverse career goals. Many of our students are preparing for graduate studies, or for professional fields such as law, medicine and education. Others enjoy fulfilling jobs in their respective communities upon graduation. Whatever the career aspirations of our students, we remain committed to preparing them for entrance into a variety of professions, as well as encouraging their knowledge and appreciation for the breadth of arts and sciences in all human endeavors. Our ultimate aim is to develop graduates who can enjoy successful careers in this rapidly changing world, and who will be understanding and productive citizens in their community, state, nation and world.
