In this lesson, we will extend Newton's Second Law to a system of particles by describing the center of mass of the system.

Objectives:

1. Be able to apply the law of conservation of energy for a system of particles to problem solving.

2. Be able to calculate the center of mass for systems of discrete particles and continuous bodies.

3. Be able to state Newton’s Second Law for a system of particles.
